Clear arrangements, thoughtful care

Policies & safety

Read how bookings, changes of plan and your dog’s wellbeing are handled. Your care plan and final quote are agreed in writing.

Booking & cancellation terms

A clear plan. Peace of mind.

Requesting and confirming care

A request does not reserve a time. We confirm your dog’s suitability, location, exact hours, care plan and total price in writing after a short introductory conversation. New dogs may need an in-person introduction. Early starts, late finishes and emergency requests are subject to availability. Care takes place at your home or permitted holiday accommodation; this website does not offer boarding at Tess’s home.

Prices and payment

Rates are in Australian dollars. Half-day care starts at $99 for up to four hours; full-day care starts at $169 for up to eight hours, for one dog. Your written quote includes any agreed travel, extra-pet or extended-hours charges and any applicable tax. Payment is due 24 hours before confirmed care, or at confirmation for a same-day request, using the payment instructions on your invoice. We do not collect card details on this website. Local discounts are considered individually for emergency or last-minute care.

Cancelling or changing a booking

Contact Tess as soon as your plans change. For a full refund, cancel walks, visits or daytime care at least 48 hours before the agreed start. For overnight sitting, please give at least seven days’ notice.

For later cancellations or no-shows, we may charge our reasonable unrecovered loss, capped at 50% of the cancelled service price. This is a maximum, not an automatic charge. We will take reasonable steps to refill the booking and reduce the charge to account for replacement bookings and costs avoided. Any remaining payment will be refunded. We may also reduce or waive charges in hardship circumstances.

Rescheduling is subject to availability and agreement. If Kin Canine Co. cancels, we will refund payments for services not provided.

These cancellation charges apply to customer changes of plans, subject to applicable law. Nothing in this policy limits your rights under Australian Consumer Law or other applicable law.

If we cancel or conditions change

If we cannot provide your agreed care, we refund the unprovided service. An alternative is offered only with your agreement. Unsafe weather or dog-access restrictions may require a safer activity, changed time or cancellation; we discuss the options with you. If you are running late, call promptly so we can agree safe ongoing care and any additional charge.

Your dog’s wellbeing and emergency arrangements

Tell us about health, behaviour, escape risk, medication, vaccinations and current tick prevention before confirmation. Provide suitable leads, harnesses, food, safe access, vet details and an emergency contact. Medication and transport are provided only by prior agreement. Before care, we agree written veterinary consent and spending instructions; urgent veterinary help may be needed if you cannot be reached. Veterinary costs are dealt with according to the circumstances and applicable law. Public sharing of pet photos requires separate permission.

These terms do not exclude rights or remedies under Australian Consumer Law. To discuss a booking, refund or concern, contact hello@kincanineco.com.au or 0420 414 133.

Safety on walks and visits

We agree activity for your dog’s age, health, temperament and comfort. Walks are private, with suitable leads or harnesses and routes where dogs are permitted. We allow water breaks and rest, respect wildlife and review conditions before going out.

Our weather plan

On a hot, stormy or otherwise unsafe day, options may include an earlier walk, a shorter shaded outing or indoor company and enrichment. Changes are discussed with you. We do not substitute a different paid service without your agreement.

Our emergency plan

Before care, we confirm your nominated vet, emergency contact, consent and spending instructions. If your dog appears injured or unwell, Tess contacts you and seeks veterinary advice promptly; where delay would risk welfare, urgent veterinary care may be sought while contact attempts continue. Costs are addressed under the agreed instructions, circumstances and applicable law.

Medication and transport

These require prior agreement, suitable instructions and an appropriate arrangement. Please disclose health and behaviour needs before confirmation so we can decide whether the care is suitable.

Privacy & photo permissions

Booking requests, treat enquiries, order requests and feedback submitted through this site are saved so Tess can respond and manage your care or order. We collect the contact, dog, timing and care details you choose to provide; we do not collect payment card details.

Please keep keys, lockbox codes, alarm codes and private medical documents out of website forms. Access codes are arranged privately. Request records are available in Tess’s restricted management area. Information may be shared with a nominated vet or emergency contact when needed for your dog’s care, and with services used to operate this website.

Private photo updates are optional. Posting your dog’s photos publicly requires separate permission. Published photos and reviews must have permission; you can contact Tess to withdraw future public use.

Contact hello@kincanineco.com.au about access, correction, deletion or a privacy concern. Records are kept as needed to arrange services and meet applicable obligations. There are no advertising trackers or an embedded social feed on this site.

Dog-treat orders

The treat range is coming soon. Once products are listed, the shop accepts order requests. Tess confirms stock, collection or delivery arrangements and the total invoice before you agree to pay. Adding an item to your basket or requesting an order does not reserve stock or create a confirmed purchase.

Read each product’s ingredients, pack size, feeding and storage instructions before ordering. Tell Tess about relevant allergies or dietary needs; suitability is individual. Your rights under Australian Consumer Law apply to products supplied. Contact Tess promptly about an incorrect, damaged or unsuitable product, and to discuss a change of mind before fulfilment.
